Parkview School District currently operates 3 elementary schools. They are Orfordville Elementary School (biggest), Footville Elementary School, and Newark Elementary School (smallest). Orfordville Elementary School is the biggest, and houses about 2/3 of the district's 3rd and 4th graders. It also educates all of the 5th and 6th graders. Footville Elementary School educates about 2/3 of the district's Pre-K through 2nd graders. All Footville kids go to Orfordville for 3rd through 6th grades. Newark is home to about 1/3 of the district's 4K- 4th grades. The Newark kids then join their classmates at Orfordville Elementary for 5th and 6th grades. All kids in the elementary schools go to Parkview Jr./Sr. High School for middle school and high school.
Parkview's school board voted in November 2011 to close both Newark Elementary and Footville Elementary schools within the next few years. A referendum will be on the April 2012 ballot with an option to put an addition onto Orfordville Elementary. If that referendum fails, modular classrooms will be built. These will not be the trailer- like classrooms at the high school.
